Lewis County Fire Protection District No. 8 is placing a proposition before the voters on the August 4, 2026 ballot authorizing the District to restore its 2026 regular property tax levy to $.88 per $1,000.00 of assessed valuation for collection in 2027 and establishing a consumer price index-based growth factor for each of the following nine years.
